2024 marks our 40th year in business, and in the next few posts I’d like to reflect on some of the jobs that have made the past four decades truly special to me.
Playing Possum:
In January 2010, a worried customer contacted us about an unusual animal taking refuge in front of their garage. Upon our arrival, we were astonished to discover a sizable opossum nestled beside the garbage cans. Although we had received previous reports of opossums residing in the Toronto area, encountering this particular one was a first for us. As we approached the creature, it lived up to its reputation by promptly rolling onto its side and feigning death, opening its mouth for added effect. It’s fascinating to note that today, the Greater Toronto Area is now home to thousands of these marsupials.
