2024 marks our 40th year in business, and in these posts I’d like to reflect on some of the jobs that have made the past four decades truly special to me.
Fox Frenzy
In early spring one year, we were called to investigate a situation where a fox family had made a den under a deck, presenting a rare and exciting opportunity for removal. Given the proximity to small dogs that could be potential prey, we decided to intervene. Unsure of what to expect initially, we soon discovered baby foxes under the deck. With the homeowner’s permission, as they were replacing the deck, we removed the boards to access the babies, placing them in our heated reunion box for the mother to retrieve.
Strategically positioning a video camera to capture the mother collecting and relocating her young, we left the area. Upon reviewing the footage, we were astonished – it turned out to be some of the best content on our YouTube channel, now the most-watched video with over 12 million views.
