Groundhog Day is a popular annual event that is held on February 2nd and is based on the belief that if a groundhog (also known as a woodchuck) emerges from its burrow on this day and sees its shadow, winter will last for six more weeks. However, if the groundhog does not see its shadow, spring will arrive early. Happy Raccoon (Groundhog) Day!
