2024 marks our 40th year in business, and in the next few posts I’d like to reflect on some of the jobs that have made the past four decades truly special to me.
Monkeying Around:
One of the most unexpected creatures we’ve had to remove was Japanese Snow Monkeys, or Macaques, and when asked what is the most unusual animal we had to remove, this is it. When the Kitchener Public Health Department reached out, recounting a tale of three escapee monkeys from a private zoo three years prior, we knew we were in for a wild ride. The escapade involved one of the monkey offspring biting a child while attempting to steal her lunch bag.

After a day of strategic monkey maneuvers, we successfully outsmarted our furry friends. The monkeys were then whisked away to the Toronto Zoo for blood tests and eventually found a new home at Jungle Cat World in Orno. Just another day in the wild world of animal removal!
